It is with sad news I announce the passing of Pearl Capello WB9BZC. Pearl passed away after being hospitalized on June 22, 2021. Pearl was 94 years old but had a zest for life and was not only in involved in Public Service Ham Radio Activities but also was involved in many other outside activies. Pearl was best known as being the best NET CONTROL bar none for Public Service Events and coordinated the Communications for Milwaukee ARES largest area event called the MS Bike Dam Bike Tour. For 33 years Pearl, WB9BZC put her blood, sweat and tears to this event. It is with her leadership and coordination that made this the best Ham Radio Public Service Event that received rave reviews from MS National HQ staff and other Ham Radio groups.

Pearl was proud of this event and proud of the Hams that worked the event and it showed. She was always talking about the MS Best Dam Bike Tour and named the team the Best Dam Hams. We will never forget Pearl and plan to honor her and all of the memories we had with her on a memorial website that is being setup called pearlcapello.com.
